So far the one spot we have personally visited and reviewed in OKC is Dave & Buster's, out off the Northwest Expressway, and we gave it a 4.5 out of 5. You gear up with a headset, a backpack, and a pulse rifle, then blast away at velociraptors and the T-Rex on a life-size scale that genuinely felt like a dinosaur safari. Alongside the true VR, they run a bunch of motion-simulator games like Fast & Furious Super Bikes and a Mini Golf title that puts you on wild courses, plus the usual arcade cabinets, racing games, redemption games, and sports games across the big Midway floor.

You pay by loading a refillable Play Pass card with chip credits, and each card carries a $3 service fee on top of the credits you buy. Individual game prices are not posted in credits I can quote you exactly, so plan to load up and go from there. Between the meal, the play cards, and the games, it is not a cheap outing, but we felt the food and the gaming were worth it for a special family day.

Is Dave & Buster's OKC good for kids?

Yes, it worked well for our two. My son gravitated to the racing and competitive games while my daughter racked up over 30,000 tickets on Skee-Ball and the carnival-style redemption games, then cashed them in for prizes. The restaurant has a dedicated kids section with smaller, simpler meals for pickier eaters. One note on the VR: the Jurassic Park expedition involves shooting attacking dinosaurs, so use your own judgment for younger or more sensitive kids.

Can you eat there too, or is it just games?

You can absolutely eat there. The restaurant sits right beside the game floor, so you are never far from the action. The menu is classic American pub food, with burgers, wings, flatbreads, salads, and shareable apps like nachos and chicken tenders. We had a pulled pork sandwich, a cheeseburger, chicken tenders, and a BBQ chicken flatbread, and everyone at our table was happy. Our server kept the drinks and refills coming, which made the meal relaxed before we hit the arcade.
